SCHOOL INFO

We support 2 junior schools and 1 high School:-  Manyana JSS,  Soga JSS, and Isolomzi SSS. Our core focus is  on the foundation phase (grades 1 - 3).

The student's first language is isiXhosa and English is taught as a second language by Xhosa teachers who struggle with English themselves.

Volunteers do our one-on-one reading programme for 4 hours at the junior schools as well as assist at the centre for 1 hour after school with various programmes.

Prior teaching experience / TEFL background can be helpful but not necessary. We offer you a wonderful opportunity to add practical experience to your teaching career.

We will supply you with stationery and access to teaching material. Feel free to bring your own resources as well.
