THINGS TO DO

 

We are within walking distance from pristine beaches with good fishing and surfing. Our centre is not suitable for the party animals as we are far from city lights but we provide a wonderful opportunity to volunteers who want a cultural experience and feel safe knowing that all their needs are taken care of. The people in our village are very friendly and volunteers are made to feel very welcome. Here you will experience nature, learn about the Xhosa community and leave, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

 

Any excursions are for your own expense. There are guided tours around our area at the very cheap rate of around R100 per person. These include informative nature and historical trips, a boat trip to The Gates or a cultural visit to a Sangoma's (witch doctor/medicine man) home where visitors are given a chance to see the cultural heritage of the Xhosa culture. We can transport volunteers to these tour pick up points if possible.
